Roam in Banff: early prototypes

A bus stop downtown Banff showing the routes available, schedule and a GPS display; one of the four Roam buses: the 'Elk' bus.

On site observation revealed that to take in the views is oddly difficult. Due to design decisions and sponsored advertisement, the bus is fully covered in a perforated vinyl mesh which depicts the local wildlife: the bear, the wolf, the mountain goat and the elk.

This device supports play, and it’s an experiment on perception and optics. It proposes for a closer look of the immediate surroundings when traveling from site to site, maybe even spot some of Banff's National Park Wildlife from a concealed and protected position.
